Swedish Mother Tongue Program

News Archive
Swedish Mother Tongue Program has a long tradition at ISB, as it officially commenced in 2009. This multi-grade class is designed to help students develop and maintain the academic component of the language they speak at home, while they live and study here in Serbia. Currently, one group of Swedish students is busy with a project related to research about common Swedish birds. The students paint and decorate their fantasy birds made of papier-mâché. In addition, they will write a short story about their special bird. The other group of students works on practicing reading comprehension – students read text to their partner, discuss the text and answer comprehension questions. Please contact Ms. Divna Stakic, our Mother Tongue Program Coordinator,  if you would like to learn more about our program.
