'The last days of school during the month of December were dedicated to the traditional Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations. In our Spanish class we talked about some customs in Spain and how they celebrate these two popular and important holidays. The most interesting part for many celebrating is the tradition of eating twelve grapes, in-time, one-by-one, with the striking of the clock at midnight on 31 December and the famous story of “Tres Reyes Magos”. Our Spanish students made decorative holiday postcards, wrote cards to Santa Claus with their wishes for the New Year, and helped with the classroom decorations and especially enjoyed listening to festive songs in our class. We had a fun time during the month of December, and I hope we will continue with the same enthusiasm in the next trimester.
