Physical Education

Over the last couple of weeks, Pre-Kindergarten students have been working on improv-
ing their gross motor skills, balance and agility, along with their whole body strength.
We practiced through games, both in the gym and outside, using a variety of props and
playground equipment. We had fun overcoming challenges in various obstacle courses,

Our students were very excited about participating in parachute games; creating differ-
ent parachute formations with and without props, such as bean-bags, jump ropes, balls,
etc. As all of our students experienced, parachute games can be great fun only if we all
listen and follow directions carefully, as well as if we cooperate well with each other.
Working as a team is what enhanced our adventures. We enjoyed games such as: climb-
ing the mountain, playing with snakes and crocodiles, launching stuffed animals into
space and having a rest in a cozy igloo.

Through a variety of group and team games, we constantly practiced cooperating better
with our classmates, respecting the rules of the game and other players, as well as tak-
ing on different roles in order to complete the given task.
