Grade two students finished working on the unit of inquiry
‘Where We Are in Place and Time – Art Through Time’.
Students learned about mosaics from the past and present time
in different places in the world, such as mosaics in Hanoi, Vi-
etnam, Rio, Brazil, and ancient mosaics in Rome and Greece,
and those that Antonio Gaudi created. We used these stimuli
for continuing learning about the use of shape, color, and
space.
Since students enjoyed creating Land Art and we were lucky
with the weather, we went outside to play and learn through us-
ing natural resources for creating pieces of art in groups.
