Dear Parents,

Here is the fourth newsletter for the French class in order to keep you informed about the
things we have been learning during the last period.

Since you have last heard from us, we have started learning about natural phenomena and
how they occur. In the beginning, our focus was on the vocabulary linked to this topic, as
well as on understanding various types of non-fictional texts and other types of sources. We
have practiced listening and reading comprehension through audio and visual documents
and are now reviewing vocabulary linked to the weather topic. The summative assessment
for this unit will be to imagine and write a three day journal telling about the before, during
and after a natural phenomenon (flood, earthquake, hurricane, avalanche, volcanic eruption,
tsunami...)
