Welcome to the ISB International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme!
The Middle and early High School years are a unique time in life. Adolescents are highly aware of the rapid changes taking place in their day to day lives. Physiological development brings shifts in emotions, interests, abilities, and social relationships. At ISB we recognize that our international and transient youth are faced with many challenges during this period of life. However, we also believe that if students are wholistically supported as they navigate these formative years, their healthy growth will empower them to decide who they are as individuals and how they want to contribute positively in society.
In the Middle Years Programme (Grades 6-10) at ISB, we aim to develop learners who take action with empathy, integrity, respect, and responsibility. Through a broad and rigorous learning program outlined by the International Baccalaureate (IB), students have the opportunity to explore their passions, discover new areas of knowledge, and realize how they learn best.
Students at ISB will ask questions, take risks, make mistakes, analyze and evaluate new ways of viewing the world, advocate for themselves and others, reflect on their growth, and celebrate success. The MYP at ISB fosters the process of learning in an effort to develop outstanding learners.
