ISB Lower School Specialists’ Newsletter

French

Dear fourth grade parents,

Here is the last newsletter for the French class for this school year.

Since you’ve last heard from us, we continued working on orientation in time, daily
and weekly routines and organizing activities with friends. Until the end of the
school, we will spend our time reviewing the most important contents we have cov-
ered since September.

Dubravka Kostanjsek Thank you very much for all of your support and collaboration throughout this school
French Teacher year.

I wish you nice and exciting summer holidays!

See you next year!

EAL

Grade 4 Beginner

Fourth grade has been hard at work researching about different animals in the rain
forest. Each child was giving a research packet divided into topic areas like habitat and
diet. They have now completed the research pack and have begun writing the rough
draft of their information report. We have looked at varying the ways of beginning sen-
tences and at writing in paragraphs. We wrote a list of synonyms for our animal as well
Kelly Campbel as a list of adjectives. Students will use this list to vary their sentences (e.g. this sleepy
EAL Teacher omnivore or this strong hunter). Students will also focus on writing in simple present

tense for this task. I think we have just enough time left of the school year to complete
the final reports. Have a great summer!
