New instruments, new songs, new ideas! PreK class was buzzing
with enthusiasm.
Singing different children songs, students explored various music
styles and ways to accompany songs. They then sang new tunes
such as “Step by step", "So Cool", and " Rock my Soul." Singing
these songs, students practiced group performance as well as to
call and respond. Lastly, they created a number of
dance choreographies to complement their singing. Having done all
of that, students were able to synchronize rhythm, movement, and
sound.
We are continuing to develop our singing by memory and, as we
move forward, our focus will turn to Celebration Unit where we will
explore and enjoys a number of dances from a variety of cultures.
