During November, Grade 3 students continued to work on
the unit, Location. We learned place prepositions and im-
perative. Students composed compound sentences to
give directions. Our focus was oral fluency, and students
practiced dialogue through role-play. This unit was a good
opportunity to learn something about formal and informal
speech and the use of ti and Vi, two different ways to say
you in Serbian.
As a connection to Imagination unit, we read children’s
classics: Tri praseta (Three Little Pigs) and Crvenkapa
(Little Red Riding Hood). Our focus was reading and oral
fluency; while reading students took turns and assumed
different roles, practicing pronunciation, intonation and di-
alogue.
