Ourselves, while inquiring into the differences between the artistic styles of Leonardo da Vinci
and Marc Chaga

The aim for this unit is to create opportunities for students to continue learning about different
Art perspectives; observational drawing and painting, which is linked to the style of Leonardo
and creating imaginative compositions, which is linked to the style of Chagall. All students learnt
about both styles and chose to express themselves through responding to one that appealed to
them more

We talked about different perspectives on reality through the works of famous artists. Students
shared that Leonardo created real shapes and that Chagall painted something real and some-
th unreal. This unit led us to a discussion about how tolerant and open minded we should be
to those different than us
