Dear Parents,
In the previous weeks, students finished with the unit of inquiry ‘How We Express Ourselves –
Symbols’. The children reflected on their learning about the use of shape and students created their
final task for the unit.
We have started working on the unit of inquiry ‘How We Organize Ourselves – School’, and are ex-
ploring the use of line for creating movement and contrasting colors through the work of Vincent
van Gogh. The goal for this unit is for students to understand that everyone has a role in this school.
The new technique of mosaic will be explored and during this unit, students will have opportunities
to choose to work in different groups and on their own projects as well as to explore the teachers’
roles and their own roles during class.
