Dear Parents,

Here is the fifth newsletter for the French class in order to keep you informed about the
things we have been learning during the last period.

Since you have last heard from us, we have continued working on our “Natural Disasters”
Unit. Right now, the students are finishing their imaginary diaries in which they described a
natural disaster of their choice. They will present their work to their classmates. After that,
we will start our new unit, in which we will explore rare and endangered animals living in dif-
ferent types of forests. The work on this unit will include reading non-fiction documents,
understanding and answering questions about places and living creatures, and finally, choos-
ing species to inquire about, present to the group and explain why they are endangered and
what their role is in their ecosystem.
