Dear Parents,
In the previous weeks, students worked on the unit of inquiry ‘How We Organize
Ourselves – Exhibition’ as a connection to their learning in the homeroom.
Students inquired into the use of different materials and elements and principles of
art in order to express their interest in various issues such as: pollution, equal rights,
stray animals, endangered animals, health, and refugees.
Students were offered four different artists to respond to by drawing or creating
sculptures. They chose a mode of expression and one artist to respond to. Students
made their plans, which they used in order to create their final product and reflected
on the use of elements and principles of art in order to express the chosen emotion.
