Art

In the previous weeks, students were working on the single subject unit of inquiry ‘Where
We Are In Place And Time,’ while traveling through time to discover different forms of Art.
Children were responding to the works of Paul Cezanne while doing observational draw-
ing. As a student initiated inquiry, children chose to learn how to paint like Mr. Cezanne
and to learn about Ancient Egyptian Art.

Students were learning about the use of shape, space, and color. Glid

Grade 2B chose to learn about Ancient Greek Art as a follow up, and grade 2A students
decided that they choose what to learn about later in the unit.

We hope you enjoyed the Spring Fair and had time to stop by to see all the ‘students’
sculptures on display. Here are a few images from Saturday, April 12.

Grade 2A students have classes on Thursdays.

Grade 2B students have classes on Wednesdays.
