Grade 4 students worked hard on improving their reading com-
prehension. As a connection to Heroes unit, they read biog-
raphies of famous people and practiced understanding through
answering text related questions and true/false exercises. I
was very proud to see that the students were able to inde-
pendently write true /false sentences about the text. Then, they
read newspaper excerpts about heroic acts from everyday life.
Students discussed heroism keeping in mind different perspec-
tives and attributes of a learner profile.
