Our youngest students began the year with great level of curiosity and enthusiasm for mu-
sic. To give this year a nice tone we began by working on some basic skills. Students
were also introduced to the classroom instruments - drums, congas, bongos, cahons,
chime tree, still drum, shakers, and mouth harmonicas. They dramatized actions song,
and were assigned different roles. In addition, students learned how to sing call and re-
sponse songs. Our songs of the month were "Hi,Hey", "Play Me", "Popcorn", and
"Dinosaurs Dancing."
