During February grade one students worked on the
PYP unit Then and Now. We observed dances from
different periods and our focus was the general im-
pression and components of a performance. Stu-
dents discussed scenography, music, dancers and
their costumes; how and why these change over
time. Although it was a bit challenging, we were real
risk-takers and performed some of the movements
observed in dances.
