During March, Grade 2 students connected to the PYP
unit Health through reading simple texts about fruits, veg-
etables and various foods. Students used several criteria
to organize foods: its taste (slatko, slano, kiselo, ljuto, gor-
ko/sweet, salty, sour, hot, bitter), whether it is healthy or
not, or whether they like it or not. Then, we learned about
parts of the day, appropriate greetings and daily routines
and activitieswe learned about they established two
healthy food restaurants – Ćevapčići ne! and Tri
sestre. The menus describing food choices as well as
their health benefits are ready. Now that we are back
from the break we will practice our oral fluency, ordering
food and drinks as well as asking simple questions about
main ingrediants.
