Pre-Kindergarten students finished working on the unit of inquiry
‘Where We Are in Place and Time – Toys.’
Before completing their final task, children went through free inquiry
while creating their pieces and playing with different materials. They
used their works for creating puppets and therefore we saw many dif-
ferent pieces of art that reflects on children’s interests such as pup-
pets in the form of themselves, their homes, animals, transportation
means, and many others. Students were drawing, painting, cutting
and gluing in class. This was a lovely unit through which students
were able to understand that they play and share with each other in
different ways in art class.
Also, we had successful conferences where children were able to
show their works and demonstrate their knowledge.
