As planned, we explored sounds from the nature and invited
a guest musician, Papa Nick, to inspire us even more with
the magic of various sounds. So it was! We enjoyed our Mu-
sic Field Trip with sounds of water drum and water whistles.
We also created our bottle shakers, filling them with little
rocks from Ada beach.
Our next inspiration was “Habanera” from the opera
“Carmen”. Students danced to the beat of this distinguished
tune. Great composer George Bizet was also introduced.
In May, we started reviewing all knowledge and skills gained
this year, by singing well-known melodies from famed music
stories, by memory, and by refreshing all instrument names
we had a chance to learn about.
We will finish the school year by sharing tunes from different
music styles we like, and responding to them with move-
ment.
