Dear Parents,
We have finished our Basketball Unit building on the skills we gained in previous years.
We have improved our dribbling and passing skills and focused more on shooting skills. We worked
hard on dribbling the ball in a zigzag by alternating our hands on the ball. We practiced passing with a
partner, but this year we focused on passing while moving different directions on the court. Shooting
after dribbling is something that many of our students are able to use in a game now and that is a big
step forward.
Students had a chance to observe and analyze each others games, which helped to improve our game
play.
Our main focus was teamwork and cooperation during the game. We wanted to make sure that everyone
was involved in the game and takes an active part within the team. It was also very important that stu-
dents understood the rules and the concept of the game.
Now we are moving forward to our Soccer unit and are very excited about the new skills that we will be
working on.
