Dear Parents,

In the previous weeks, students finished working on the single subject unit of inquiry ‘Where We
Are in Place and Time’ by creating their final tasks. Students created a piece of art with a message
showing their understanding of the chosen style. Students created sculptures, weaving projects, de-
signed boxes, and students completed a rubric for self-assessment.
We started working on the unit of inquiry ‘How We Express Ourselves’ as a connection to their
learning in the homeroom. Students started inquiring into the interconnection of colors while prov-
ing Josef Alber’s color theory. Students worked on finding out about which background colors in-
fluence the foreground colors. While exploring this concept, students were creating abstract pieces
of art that you can see in the photographs below.
