Dear Parents,
In the previous weeks, students finished working on the unit of inquiry ‘How We Express Ourselves
– Imagination’ as a connection to students’ learning in the homeroom.
Students were choosing to draw with various materials and to create collages for creating their work
and responding to the part of the story ‘A Man with the Violin’, the story they listened to over sever-
al art classes. The goal of this unit was for students to understand that they use their imagination in
different subject specific classes. Due to the students previous learning, they chose either to repre-
sent a part of the story and its music through the use of representational or abstract symbols. Stu-
dents were successful in learning to apply movement in their work.
We hope that you will enjoy seeing the students’ work at the Upper School.
