Serbian as a Foreign

Dear Parents,
Upon completing the unit Healthy Habits we took a moment to look back at our unit
about animals and review body parts vocabulary. Also, we learned a few new words and
practiced describing people. At the beginning, we practiced vocabulary and under-
standing through playing a monster game: the students wrote body part words on cards
and then we pulled the cards out of the hat and drew monsters based on cards we
pulled. Our monsters turned out to be funny and colorful. Furthermore, they were in-
spiring and a great base for oral language practice, as students were eager to talk about
their interesting creatures. Then, we applied our knowledge and described people
through a series of written and oral practices. We will continue to practice descriptive
language and as closing activity we will have a picture dictation.
