MS. ANITA STANKOVIC

Dear Parents,

My name is Anita Stankovic and I will be the long-term substitute Spanish teacher until
the end of the school year. I am so glad to be a part of ISB team and community and I
am looking forward to teaching your children the Spanish language and introducing
them to a wonderful world of Spanish culture.

The second grade started connecting with the unit Health within which we are focusing
on healthy food (fruits and vegetables) and balanced meals. So far, they have learned the
vocabulary related to healthy food and healthy daily habits. They had an interesting ac-
tivity in which they learned to make real Spanish tapas. They are currently working on
their Recipe Books and mastering the vocabulary required for writing recipe instruc-
tions. Until the end of the month they will learn about healthy drinks and salads while
upgrading their food vocabulary.
