Dear Parents,
We have finished our Basketball Unit building on the skills we gained
in previous years.
We have improved our dribbling and passing skills and we had been
working more on shooting skills. We worked hard on dribbling the ball
zigzag alternating our hands on the ball. We practiced passing with a
partner but this year we focused on passing while moving different di-
rections on the court. Shooting after dribbling is something that many
of our students are able to use in a game now and that is a big step
forward.
Students had a chance to observe each other during games and ana-
lyze them, which helped them to improve their own game play.
Our main focus was teamwork and cooperation during the game. We
wanted to make sure that everyone is involved in a game and takes an
active part within a team. It was also very important that students un-
derstand rules and concept of the game.
Now we are moving forward to our Soccer unit and are very excited
about the new skills that we will be working on.
