Grade one students finished working on the unit of inquiry ‘How We
Express Ourselves – Stories’ with making a selection of works for their
books.
While expressing what is important to them, students drew and created
mosaics, play dough sculptures, and paintings. The final task was to
make a selection of works for a book. The selection was a reflection,
too, since students were able to make choices according to the level of
their knowledge.
We were lucky with the weather and therefore we used several oppor-
tunities for going outside to do observational drawing.
