Grade 1 students wrapped up Minibeasts unit
through creating a book of facts for various crea-
tures. As the school year is soon coming to an end,
we slowly moved to our last unit Stories. Consider-
ing that the students were very interested in minibe-
asts, we started the unit by watching Boca i Lutkica
(Berry and Dolly), short animated stories about ad-
ventures of a small snail and his friend ladybug. Un-
til the end of the school year we will read fables and
children’s classics, practice listening, understanding,
and develop vocabulary.
